Distribution of New Born Baby Kits Jointly supported by 15 Rotary Clubs of RI Dist 3230!

Project Udhaya – New Born baby Kits were distributed to 105 deserving Mothers in & around Gummidipoondi on 8^th November 2011. The Project Inauguration was held at Kavarapet Maternity Centre.

I thank the Chief Guest, our District First Lady Rtn. Dr. S. Sai Prasanna who came all the way from Thiruvannamalai to grace the occasion. Truly her presence was a memorable one. Her motivating speech on safe pregnancy, women health & breastfeeding benefits really inspired the Mothers who were present there.

First Micro credit Function Launching at Kanchi

Dist 3230 in association with 4 clubs Rotary club k k nagar ,Rotary club of Kanchi,kanchi east , tempel city along with ladies special tamil magazine organised a program for women empowerment (Varungal Munneralam)at Anna Kalaiarangam on 23rd July at 10.30 am. More than 1200 women participated and exhibited their skill in making consumer products in many stalls organised for them. . Rtn Girija welcomed the gathering & introduced the guests and Organisers to the audience. The chief guests were Sri.S. Sivashanmugaraja IAS, District Collector of Kanchipuram and PDG Rtn.Oilvannan of Dt 3230. They praised entrepreneurship of women and their role in family and outside. The Collector assured all assistance to women in their endeavors. Many Self Help Groups were given loans.on that day more than 19 laks Micro credit loan disbursed to the various beneficiaries .

The first project of the Rotary year started with great success.Rtns Dt.Secretary Babu Peram, AG Dr.Kumar, Rtn.Rajendran & Nithyanandam of Kanchi East,E.Gangadharan of Temple City,K.Manilal Patel, Kanchipuram ,Rtn A.P Kanna, Rtn.Sethuraman, and many local Rotarians were also present.
