Council On Legislation

Dear Reach team member:

Greetings! Each club has got a ballot on TWO resolutions proposed for the COL to which you have elected me as your representative. These ballots have to be returned to the Governor’s office immediately after you have decided your club’s decision (agree / disagree) on the proposed resolutions. This is YOUR chance to have a say in how Rotary is governed and I sincerely hope that each of you realized the importance of this ballot and have taken action. If not, the time to act is NOW.

DGN.A.P.Kanna will also be contacting you to expedite this and I have requested DG.Sampath also to remind all of you that it is time that the ballots were returned with your agreement or otherwise. Both resolutions have been thought out deeply and proposed and we sincerely hope that we will have your acceptance so that District 3230 can propose it to the COL.

I sincerely look forward to your cooperation in this matter. Even if you are not the President of your Club, please check with your President and help me get the ballots back. Thank you all in advance. With warm regards,

PDG.Subu
COL Rep, RI District 3230.

New RI / TRF Contribution/Recognition Forms

Contribution and recognition forms are now combined and revised.

The Global Contribution and Recognition Transfer forms have been revised and combined into one form as part of The Rotary Foundation's ongoing efforts to provide more accurate processing and faster acknowledgement to our donors.

The new version is now available as one double-sided document, and The Rotary Foundation Contribution Form

 <http://www.rotary.org/RIdocuments/en_pdf/123en_write.pdf> (PDF)

includes a recurring gift option for donors who wish to give monthly or quarterly through Rotary Direct.

Another new feature is a Quick Response (QR) code, which is located at the top of the form and allows users with mobile devices to scan and land directly onto Rotary's online giving page. Rotary's secure online contribution system also supports both one-time and recurring gifts.

Police Boys Club

Dear Rtn. President,
Hope this letter finds you and your members in the best of health.  You might be aware that during my Governorship (2003-04) Madam. Jayalalitha was the Chief Minister and as requested by her we had started and maintained 26 Police Boys Club under the chairmanship of Rtn. Jacob Rajkumar.  The present Commissioner Sri. Tripathi, IPS.,Avl., was the then Joint Commissioner who handled Police Boys Club.

Now as per the wishes of present Honourable Chief Minister Madam. J.Jayalalitha that once again Rotary should get involved in running Police Boys Club, the Commissioner of Police Thiru. Tripathi, IPS Avl., has requested us to adopt at least 25 Police Boys Club (at an expense of about Rs. 8,000/- per month) and run the same so that the street children can be saved from becoming criminals by engaging them and moulding them into proper citizens.

Regarding this you might have been received a letter written by Rtn. Jacob Rajkumar, District Chairman, Special Projects.  I request you to kindly attend the meeting on Saturday, the 10th December at 7.00 p.m. at Hotel Residency, G.N. Chetty Road, T. Nagar (in between Hotel Accord Metro Politan and Vani Mahal) to discuss and take this forward. The present Joint Commissioner of Police Mr. Sankar, IPS., Avl., along with other officials will be present.  I request  you to kindly make a note of this date and do attend without fail.  This meeting will be followed by dinner.

Kindly do inform to Rtn. Jacob Rajkumar who is heading this project under the leadership of Rotary Governor Rtn. Sampath, and supported by incoming Governors Rtn. Raja Seenivasan, Rtn. A.P. Kanna.  All of them will be present on that day.

Kindly do attend without fail.
Regards,

Yours – in – Rotary,
Rtn. PDG. ABIRAMI RAMANATHAN.
